Mary A. Johnson makes work using organic materials and digital images that is reminiscent of Dutch still lives, petri dishes, and forgotten refrigerators.
Johnson has exhibited globally and nationally and is based in Dallas after Beijing for 5 years. She is included in Rebeka Elezegi’s book Collage by Women: 50 Essential Contemporary Artists.
She teaches at the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas, previously Head of Studio at the International Foundations Program at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
